Vinícola Tua Rita, located in Suvereto, Tuscany, is one of Italy’s premier wine producers. Established in 1984 by Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio Bisti, the estate quickly gained international acclaim for its high-quality wines, especially its Bordeaux-inspired blends. The winery spans around 30 hectares of vineyards, primarily focusing on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sangiovese. Its commitment to excellence in both viticulture and winemaking has placed it among the most respected boutique wineries in the world.

One of Tua Rita’s most renowned wines is the iconic Redigaffi, a 100% Merlot wine that earned the prestigious 100-point rating from wine critic Robert Parker in its 2000 vintage. This wine symbolizes the estate’s dedication to crafting bold, elegant, and age-worthy wines. The meticulous attention to vineyard management, including low yields and organic farming practices, ensures the utmost quality of grapes used in their production.

The winery is also celebrated for other flagship wines such as Giusto di Notri, a Bordeaux-style blend, and Perlato del Bosco, which highlights the potential of native Italian varietals like Sangiovese. Each wine reflects the unique terroir of the region, characterized by its Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils. These conditions create wines with intense flavors, complexity, and balance.

Tua Rita is family-owned and continues to honor the vision of its founders. The winery combines traditional methods with modern techniques, employing state-of-the-art facilities to ensure precision winemaking. Their handcrafted approach, from harvesting to bottling, emphasizes the estate’s philosophy of quality over quantity, producing wines that are both authentic and expressive of their origins.
