Kellerei Bozen, also known as Cantina Bolzano, is a prominent winery situated in the heart of Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. Established in 1908, it began as a cooperative of thirty winegrowers in the Gries district. Over the years, it has expanded to include 224 members, cultivating approximately 350 hectares of vineyards across various subregions, including Gries, San Maurizio, Settequerce, S. Giorgio, Cologna, Santa Maddalena, Coste, S. Giustina, and Renon.
The winery’s vineyards are situated at elevations ranging from 200 to 1,000 meters above sea level, benefiting from diverse microclimates and soil types. This diversity allows for the cultivation of a wide array of grape varieties, each expressing the unique characteristics of its terroir. The winery’s commitment to quality is evident in its diverse range of wines, which have garnered international acclaim.
In 2010, Kellerei Bozen inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art facility designed by architect Werner Tscholl. The building’s innovative design features a luminous cube structure, symbolizing the winery’s commitment to modernity and sustainability. This facility not only serves as a production site but also as a visitor center, offering panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and the city of Bolzano.
